The Timbers Senior Living Community is located on 3.5 beautifully landscaped acres near downtown Apple Valley. As a resident, you are within walking distance of an array of shopping and restaurants and just minutes from the airport, Minnesota Zoo, Mall of America, and other Minneapolis points of interest.
The Timbers opened as a 55-plus community in 2003. In 2010, a new 4,100 sq. ft. addition was completed which enhanced common space including the chapel, living room, library, kitchen and dining room. In 2016 The Timbers joined the Transforming Age family of communities and officially became a not for profit organization.
Transforming Age is a leading not for profit organization committed to improving the lives of older adults through community housing and services, technology development, research and advocacy. Founded in 1956, the organization currently operates three communities in Seattle and eight in Minnesota. In addition, it provides operations and management as well as a variety of other business services to the industry. Transforming Age has a history of creating innovative solutions and advocacy opportunities for older adults. The Transforming Age Foundation provides support for the organization through a variety of philanthropic programs aimed at improving older adults lives and society as a whole.
